1. Deposits and Payments

• A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before work begins.

• The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project, before the final files or website go live.

• Payments are made via Stripe, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Refund Policy

• Non-Refundable Items:

  • Deposits

  • Work already delivered or partially completed

  • Time spent on meetings, planning, mockups, or revisions

• Refunds May Be Considered If:

  • The designer has not started any work beyond initial consultation

  • The designer fails to deliver agreed milestones with no valid explanation or communication

  • A mutual agreement is reached to end the project early

Refunds are at the sole discretion of the freelancer and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

3. Dispute Resolution

• If a dispute arises, both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve it through direct communication.

• If a resolution cannot be reached, the freelancer and client agree to mediation or binding arbitration (depending on what is specified in the contract).

• Disputes raised through third-party platforms (e.g., PayPal or Upwork) will follow the platform’s resolution procedures.

4. Revisions & Satisfaction

• A fixed number of revisions are included in the project fee.

• Additional revisions or changes outside the original scope may incur extra charges.

• Client feedback must be provided within 2-3 business days after each deliverable.

5. Scope Creep & Cancellation

• Any additional work outside the agreed scope requires a new quote or agreement.

• Either party may cancel the project with 7 days written notice.

  • If canceled by the client, any work completed up to that point must be paid in full.

  • If canceled by the designer, a partial refund may be issued depending on work completed.

1. Right to Cancel

Either party (client or designer) may cancel the project at any time, for any reason, by providing written notice via email.

2. Notice Period

A minimum of 7 calendar days’ written notice is required to initiate cancellation. Work will cease upon acknowledgment of cancellation.

3. Cancellation by Client

If the client cancels the project:

• The initial deposit is non-refundable.

• The client is responsible for payment of:

  • All work completed up to the date of cancellation, including any work in progress

  • Any non-recoverable expenses (e.g., stock images, licenses, tools)

• If the project is more than 50% complete, the client may be charged up to the full agreed project fee.

4. Cancellation by Designer

If the designer cancels the project due to unforeseen circumstances or inability to complete the work:

• The client will receive a partial or full refund, depending on the amount and quality of work completed.

• All completed work (up to the date of cancellation) will be delivered in its current state.

5. Breach of Contract

If cancellation occurs due to a breach of agreement (e.g., missed payments, lack of communication, or misuse of delivered work), the non-breaching party reserves the right to terminate the contract without further obligation.

6. Ownership of Work Upon Cancellation

• If the client cancels and payments are up to date:

  • Client receives rights to all completed work paid for.

• If full payment has not been made:

  • All work remains the intellectual property of the designer until payment is settled.

7. Final Invoice

A final invoice will be issued reflecting:

• Time worked

• Expenses incurred

• Any applicable cancellation fees

Final payment is due within 5 business days of cancellation.
